Since joining MEA in 2000, Mr. Fricker has completed over five hundred investigations of motor vehicle collisions and part failures. Past cases have involved passenger vehicle, bicycle, motorcycle, pedestrian, and commercial vehicle collisions. Issues assessed have included seat belt use and effectiveness, vehicle speed and trajectory, damage matching between vehicles and collision severity.

Conducts technical investigations involving motor vehicle accident reconstruction, human factors, and research. Involved in over 600 technical investigations with particular expertise in: impact severity, vehicle speed, seatbelt use and effectiveness, and cases involving pedestrians, nighttime visibility and event data recorders.

FRICKER ENGINEERING LTD.
Principal, 2005 to 2011
Conducted motor vehicle accident reconstruction and material failure investigations. Qualified to give expert evidence as a Mechanical Engineer in the field of Accident Reconstruction in the Supreme Court of British Columbia.  Provided technical advice for new wheelchair van conversion designs by Mahadev Metal Works of Richmond, B.C. Inspected welding and structural soundness of converted vans prior to shipment to customers. Audited Mahadev Metal Works' crash test documentation, shop operations and van designs to ensure compliance with Transport Canada regulations.
