Mr. Norman Jang is MEA Forensic’s Chief Financial Officer, the person responsible for overseeing the firm’s finances, legal, and regulatory matters. From MEA’s headquarters in Vancouver, he helps to guide operations in all three of the firm’s offices in both Canada and the U.S. For over a decade, he has worked to ensure that MEA is streamlined, growth-orientated, and focused on the future.

As the CFO, Norman reports directly to the President and the Directors. He provides financial advice and guidance on proposals, new staff positions, contracts, and other key business decisions. He plays a key role in the hiring process, while also managing salary reviews, compensation, and benefits. Externally, he liaises with vendors and suppliers.

Norman draws on his experience running organizations with cross-border operations. He has significant expertise in both Canadian and American taxation. “I have had the pleasure of running companies operating in both jurisdictions”, he says. Norman has previously held senior accounting roles at BMW Canada and Chrysler and he served as the VP of Finance for a successful real estate development company headquartered in Vancouver. Norman is a Certified General Accountant (CGA) and he received his MBA from Laurentian University in Toronto.

In his time at MEA, Norman has seen the firm grow “by offices, people, and practices”. He notes that the firm’s growth is tied to its focus on developing and supporting its staff, an approach that comes from the top down. “This is a great team to work with,” he says.
