The Middlesex Law Association presents its 2025 Straight from the Bench event on May 5th in London, Ontario. We are pleased to sponsor this event, which is an opportunity for legal professionals to interact directly with judges and litigators across the bar. Tom Flynn and Jahvanna Ryan will be on site all day, table #15, to connect with attendees.
This annual CPD event brings together judges and legal professionals for a full day of interactive panels and case discussions. The 2025 program includes sessions on trauma-informed lawyering, guardianship considerations, and updates in employment and civil law. Andrew Murray of Lerners LLP has given considerable attention to the implications of artificial intelligence in a law practice, a topic that has been on our minds as well. He will present AI for Lawyers: It is All About the Prompts in the late afternoon. Notable case commentaries will also be delivered by Katie Warwick of Harrison Pensa and Josh Laplante of Cohen Highley, offering insights into recent appellate decisions in Burjoski v. Waterloo Region District School Board and Jackson v. Rosenberg.
