The Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia (TLABC) is hosting its first Convention at the Pinnacle Hotel Harbourfront in Vancouver on May 8 and 9, 2025. MEA Forensic is pleased to sponsor this event, which brings together legal professionals from across the province for two days of continuing education and networking. Dennis Chimich, Mark Bailey and Kurt Ising will be attending on behalf of MEA Forensic and will be available at our red booth by the window. Each brings specialized expertise in injury biomechanics, failure analysis and human factors.
The Convention is chaired by Susanne Raab of Pacific Medical Law and Krista Simon of Hammerco. The program opens with a panel on the business of law, followed by two days of concurrent streams in Advocacy Skills, General Litigation and Family & Estate law. Keynote presentations and judiciary panels round out the agenda, offering insights into professional well-being, appellate advocacy and the evolving role of the courts. Among the wide-ranging topics, several sessions are closely aligned with our areas of practice, including expert witness testimony, the use of demonstrative evidence, as well as injury causation and product failure investigations.
