MEA Forensic sponsors 2025 OTLA Spring Conference

The Ontario Trial Lawyers Association (OTLA) 2025 Annual Spring Conference is taking place on Friday, May 9, 2025, at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. MEA Forensic supports this educational event every year, and this year Dr Ben Elkin and Jahvanna Ryan are looking forward to connecting with attendees at booth number 720.

The program covers a wide range of topics and includes a networking opportunity for new lawyers as well as a dedicated stream for law clerks. Robyn Wishart of Wishart Brain and Spine Law LLP offers a keynote address on the use of clean language in legal questioning. In a section focused on overcoming technical hurdles, Rasha El-Tawil of Siskinds LLP presents on municipal liability in slip, trip and fall cases. Dr. Ben Elkin has investigated hundreds of such incidents and contributes to the ASTM subcommittee working to improve protocols for measuring walkway friction, a key factor in determining floor slipperiness. Attendees are welcome to visit him at our booth during the break to discuss evidence collection, investigation methods, or his experience presenting technical findings in court.

For more details, the full program is available on OTLA’s website.
