The Canadian Defence Lawyers (CDL) present its 2025 Litigation Conference on June 3, 2025, at the InterContinental Toronto Centre in Toronto. MEA Forensic is a sponsor of this annual educational event, and Dennis Turriff and Ben Elkin are on site to connect with attendees and share how forensic analysis supports civil defence litigation across Canada.
The 2025 conference is co-chaired by Devan Marr of LAWPRO and Bronwyn Martin of Moodie Mair Walker LLP. The program offers a broad mix of emerging legal issues and practical litigation topics. This year’s conference is part of CDL’s 30th anniversary celebrations, branded Three Decades of CDL – Three Events Over Three Days. The festivities began June 2 with the Annual President’s Dinner and Awards, and conclude June 4 with the Women’s Caucus Luncheon. The conference itself features a retrospective on CDL’s evolution, led by Philippa Samworth of Dutton Brock LLP, Jade Spalding of Cox & Palmer, and The Honourable Justice Sandra L. Corbett of the Alberta Court of Justice, offering perspectives from across the country, from the West to the Atlantic. The conference program is available online.
