On March 26, the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association (OCTLA) hosts Voir Dire, an immersive MCLE program focused on practical jury selection strategies. Held in a mock courtroom at MLG Attorneys at Law and hosted by Jonathan Michaels of MLG and Jennifer Russell of Mendez & Sanchez Law, this program departs from the traditional lecture-based format in favor of a more interactive approach. Participants will observe live jury selection with a mock panel, gaining insight into how juror beliefs, values, and experiences can shape how they view responsibility, fairness, and damages. The session emphasizes questioning techniques that can create space for jurors to speak honestly, uncovering bias and leadership dynamics within a jury and build stronger case strategies.
