Dr. Gunter Siegmund is a senior engineer in MEA's Injury Biomechanics Group, and has been involved in over 3500 technical investigations related to bicycle collisions as well as motor vehicle collisions, pedestrian impacts, and slip and fall accidents. As our Director of research, Gunter guides the firm’s scientists in identifying and building useful lines of inquiry, as well as the appropriate scope and methods for a project. He is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of British Columbia’s School of Kinesiology, and works with graduate students on their injury-related research in kinesiology, mechanical engineering and biomechanics. To this day, Gunter is the author and co-author of over 90 peer-reviewed scientific publications.

Dr. Dennis Turriff is a senior engineer, and leads MEA Forensic’s Failure Analysis group in Toronto. His background in both materials science and mechanical engineering help him isolate the root cause of failure in a wide variety of incidents involving vehicles, industrial equipment, consumer products, plumbing, fire protection systems and medical devices. Dennis is registered as a Professional Engineer in Ontario and is a certified fire and explosion investigator.
