Craig Wilkinson and Tom Flynn present on Video Analysis – OIAA Webinar Series

On February 10th, 2021, Craig and Tom will present on Video Analysis and the Reconstruction of Events for the February edition of the Ontario Insurance Adjusters Association’s Webinar Series.

Attendees will learn how to get the most out of a video recording obtained after an accident. Beyond what is shown in the video, forensic engineers can extract crucial details on speeds, timing, and driver performance – and get answers central to an insurance case. Craig and Tom will go over these these topics:

  • How video analysis is conducted
  • What to get/send your expert – sources, file format, and quality
  • Video enhancements – Lens distortion removal, brightness, timing/speed
  • Dash cams and video evidence in the context of accident reconstruction
  • Strengths and limitations of video analysis
  • Case studies: When videos tipped the scale
  • Typical litigation questions for insurance professionals related to video evidence

The session is free to OIAA members but is open to all interested. To register, visit the Webinar Series’ page of the OIAA website.

The Ontario Insurance Adjusters Association (OIAA) is a non-profit association founded in 1930; through the decades its members have worked together to question, shape, change and develop claims adjustment and risk management services in Ontario. Among other events, the OIAA hosts a yearly Claims Conference providing education, enrichment and networking opportunities to all its members. After much deliberation, the OIAA Executive has decided to not proceed with a Virtual Claims Conference in 2021, and to continue providing continuing education through their monthly Webinar Series.
