Tom Flynn is a leader of MEA Forensic's Video Analysis group and a member of its Collision Reconstruction team. A registered professional engineer, he has investigated hundreds of crashes and testified as an expert witness in court. He has also undergone extensive training in forensic video analysis and conducted research focused on advancing video-based collision reconstruction. He recently published research on how experts can get more precise information from dashcam video, and on the typical behavior of drivers executing left- and right-turn maneuvers at intersections.

Dr. Dennis Turriff leads MEA Forensic’s Failure Analysis group, using his expertise in materials science and mechanical engineering to determine the root cause of failure in incidents involving vehicles, industrial equipment, consumer products, plumbing, fire protection systems, and medical devices. He uses advanced tools to analyze failure modes like fatigue, corrosion, and overload. He is currently leading research into the accuracy of torque audit techniques, which will have a considerable impact on the investigation of wheel separation incidents.

Pamela D’Addario is a senior engineer and leads MEA Forensic’s Human Factors group, determining how human behavior may have contributed to accidents. With a background in mechanical engineering and human factors, Pam combines her understanding of crash dynamics and driver behavior to answer questions about collision severity, vehicle speed, avoidance potential, nighttime visibility, and driver response times. She has conducted research on the effects of cognitive distraction on driver perception-response times to emergency hazards, comparing gradual and abrupt hazard scenarios.
