Tom presents “Accuracy of Estimated Speed from Onboard Video Using Aerial Imagery as the Reference Geometry” at the 2025 European Association for Accident Research and Analysis (EVU) Congress, taking place September 25–27 in Brașov, Romania. Hosted at the Transilvania University of Brașov, this international conference brings together experts in the fields of accident research and accident reconstruction from all over Europe and beyond.
Tom’s presentation is scheduled for Friday afternoon during Session 5: Event Data Recorder – Digital Traces. Tom will also chair Session 8: Accident Reconstruction on Saturday morning, guiding a discussion on the latest developments in the field.
This year’s EVU program includes presentations on artificial intelligence in accident reconstruction, bicycle safety and e-scooters, electric vehicles, EDR and non-EDR digital data sources, developments in passive safety, vehicle design and human factors, and accident reconstruction. Workshops on EDR data analysis and road safety audits are also part of the pre-conference offerings. The EVU 2025 Congress program is available online.
