Looking back at 2024

With 2024 now behind us, we can reflect on a remarkable year of growth and success at MEA Forensic. Here are some highlights from the past year:

  • 17 Peer-Reviewed Publications: Twenty of our engineers and scientists contributed to 17 published manuscripts in 2024—a record year for our firm. We congratulate our authors and extend our gratitude to the many team members who supported these projects in our labs and in the field. Explore our research publications here.
  • 1,000 Continuing Education Credits: Through the MEA Forensic Webinar Series, we delivered 1,000 hours of continuing education credits to our clients and their colleagues. Our five expert-led presentations offered insights into forensic analysis and practical tips for working with experts. Contact us to suggest a webinar topic or organize an in-person presentation for 2025.
  • 1 New Video Analysis Practice Group: After over a decade of conducting forensic video analysis and publishing research in this field, we officially launched a dedicated Video Analysis practice group. This milestone underscores our commitment to advancing this growing area of forensic investigation.
  • 5 New Professional Designations: Five team members earned new credentials in 2024, including Professional Engineer (PE and PEng), Certified Forensic Video Technician (CFVT), and Certified Professional Accountant (CPA). We acknowledge the hard work, patience, and perseverance required to achieve these designations.
  • 18 Courses and Conferences: To stay at the forefront of forensic science, our team attended 18 formal training sessions, ranging from broad to highly specialized courses that enable our experts to develop advanced skills and specialized expertise in their fields of interest.
  • 65,000 Cases Completed: We reached a major milestone by concluding our 65,000th case in 2024, thanks to the trust of returning clients and growing demand for our expertise.
  • 10 New Team Members: We welcomed many new colleagues and are still looking for curious and talented individuals to join us. Visit our career page to see our current openings across all 3 offices.
  • 800m Elevation Gain: Our annual Technical Summit (photo below) brought all our experts together in Vancouver, Canada. For the occasion, we tackled the iconic Grouse Grind—a local challenge involving an 800-meter (2,625-foot) climb over 2.5 kilometers (1½ miles). This memorable achievement strengthened our connections and reinforced our commitment to continuous improvement.

As we look ahead to 2025, we remain focused on delivering the highest standard of forensic engineering expertise. By fostering a supportive environment where our team can thrive and pursue their professional goals, we ensure that our clients benefit from skilled, passionate, and experienced professionals. Our staff can take pride in our reputation for excellence.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to making 2024 a success. We’re excited to build on this momentum, take on new challenges, and continue solving complex problems with precision and integrity.
