A select group of MEA experts in the biomechanics of brain injury will be present at the Brain Society of California’s first Med-Legal Conference in downtown Los Angeles. Leading traumatic brain injury (TBI) experts are invited to share pearls of wisdom and war stories with invaluable and relevant lessons for all professionals who practice in this field. MEA’s Stephanie, Brad, Ross and John are looking forward to connecting with the 50 + speakers and attendees gathered at the Millenium Biltmore Hotel on October 4-5, 2019.
The conference program includes presentations by healthcare professionals, medical experts and trial attorneys, discussing how the interplay of the medical-legal community is crucial to the success and outcome of every TBI case.
The Brain Society of California (Brain SoCal) is a non-profit organization founded by TBI attorney and advocate Tina Odjaghian in order to create a platform to share ideas among prominent medical-legal professionals in the TBI community, and serve as a resource to brain-injured individuals and their support structures at the most difficult time in their lives. The organization engages in the pursuit of maximizing resources and creating optimal outcomes for brain-injured individuals.
The objective of Brain SoCal is to share fresh ideas and disseminate cutting-edge medical and legal knowledge and resources to families and professionals charged with the responsibility of advocating on behalf of individuals suffering from brain injury and arming them with the tools necessary to raise the bar industry-wide. Moreover, they strive to enhance the quality of life for those affected by brain injury, including patients, survivors, families, and caregivers through education, advocacy, collaboration, and support.
With the incidence of TBI at an all-time high and a staggering number of new cases reported each year, the need for education and advocacy is present more than ever. Attorneys and medical professionals demonstrating exemplary leadership and skills in mastering their craft have come together to dedicate their time and resources to spearhead Brain SoCal and create a nexus to champion the cause of catastrophically injured individuals suffering from TBI.
