The Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia presents its annual Medical-Legal Conference at the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel in Vancouver, December 3, 2021. The Association chose a hybrid format, where participants can choose to either attend in person or online. MEA Forensic continues to support TLABC’s educational program, and will be attending the conference virtually.
The conference, titled Forward Thinking: The Future of Personal Injury Law & Rehabilitation in the Post-“No Fault” World, is chaired by Keri Grenier of Murphy Battista LLP and Susanne Raab of Pacific Medical Law. The program is aimed at new and experienced personal injury lawyers and health professionals looking to gain legal knowledge in areas beyond motor vehicle accident claims. As we will be in the virtual audience, attendees are welcome to contact us with their questions on the use of experts in cases involving slips, trips, & falls, and other injury-producing events.
Registrants will gain up-to-date information on the law in medical negligence claims, nursing home claims, class actions, claims against religious institutions, disability claims, and the law surrounding mandatory vaccinations. They will also learn about the latest advances in treatment and rehabilitation from well-respected rehabilitation professionals in the fields of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Occupational Therapy, and Physiotherapy. Finally, they will discuss the do’s and don’ts of presenting an injury claim at trial from the perspective of judges well-versed in the area of injury law.
