The Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia holds a seminar for plaintiff’s attorneys on February 21. Presented at the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel in Vancouver, 2020 Vision: tips & tactics for a successful plaintiff’s litigation practice runs all day and is chaired by Kevin McLaren of Hammerberg Lawyers LLP. MEA Forensic is proud to sponsor this event, and MEA’s president and senior engineer Jonathan Lawrence is attending.
In light of the February 6th announcement by the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC) of a new “Enhanced Care” model of auto insurance in the province, TLABC added a roundtable discussion about no-fault to the program. The discussion will be led by Kevin McLaren and Nick Peterson of Collins Peterson LLP, Vancouver.
TLABC’s first seminar of 2020 also includes a view from the Bench with Justice Alan Ross, from the Supreme Court of BC. Video surveillance, bad faith personal injury claims, wrongful dismissal and the duty to accommodate in the context of personal injury claims are some of the other topics that will be covered. You can find the full seminar program here. However, note that the event is available only to TLABC members who limit their practice to working exclusively for plaintiffs.
