Dr. Allen Yu assesses injury causation in automobile collisions, industrial accidents, slips trips and falls, shooting incidents, and sports injuries. He holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University, where he focused on brain injury and conducted research on a wide range of neurotrauma disciplines, including military biomechanics, sport-related concussions, aging and neurodegeneration, vehicle safety, and protective equipment. By helping to determine how brain injury occurs due to traumatic forces, and to identify precise damage mechanisms, Allen hopes that his research will contribute to injury prevention strategies.

Dr. Ben Elkin is a senior biomechanical engineer and is actively involved in research projects at MEA Forensic. He holds a Doctorate in Biomedical Engineering with a focus on Biomechanics from Columbia University, where he conducted research on the biomechanics of brain injury. He continues to study brain injury at MEA, focusing on the response of the brain to head impacts and other indirect exposures that have been associated with concussions. This research may ultimately help detect and prevent concussions in sport, motor vehicle collisions, and falls.

Dennis Chimich has worked on thousands of cases in his forensic career, investigating how injuries happen in vehicle collisions, slips and falls, product failures, and sporting events. He testified as an expert witness in court many times and has been involved in the firm's research into the impact performance of helmets, whiplash, occupant kinematics, and knee injury biomechanics. Currently, he is studying the accuracy of tribometers, which are used to measure surface friction when investigating slip and fall incidents. His work will help improve friction measurement protocols used by experts in North America.
