Jonathan Lawrence is the president of MEA Forensic. Since joining the firm in 1994, he has investigated over three thousand vehicle accidents involving a variety of issues such as speed, collision severity, seat belt use, and avoidance possibilities. He has presented his findings in court many times and is registered as a professional engineer in British Columbia and Washington State. Jonathan has received specialized training on how to access and interpret heavy vehicle event data recorders (EDR), and has led studies into the accuracy and limitations of EDR data from modern vehicles.

A certified forensic video technician, Cole Young has learned how to extract a wealth of information from security camera, dashcam, and cell phone video. He has accumulated 160+ hours of video-specific training with the Law Enforcement & Emergency Services Video Association. He has also developed methods to determine the precise position of evidence at an accident scene from photographs and 2D images. His detailed approach to working with video and photographic evidence extends to how he uses graphics to illustrate the results of his analysis in reports, depositions, or when testifying in court.

Tom Flynn has conducted close to 300 technical investigations of motor vehicles crashes including heavy-trucks, ATVs, and snowmobiles, as well as accidents involving pedestrians and bicycles. His background in engineering, mathematics, and modeling help him interpret traditional crash evidence like vehicle damage and tire marks on the road. He is also a certified forensic video technician through the Law Enforcement & Emergency Services Video Association, has received more than 200 hours of dedicated training, and is involved in MEA's research into new kinds of digital evidence recovered from black boxes and video recorders.
