MEA Forensic’s Senior Collision Reconstruction and Video Analysis Engineer Ian Miller and Senior Collision Reconstruction Engineer Craig Wilkinson attended the 34th Annual Congress of the European Association for Accident Research and Analysis (EVU), held September 17–19, 2026, at the Holiday Inn in Žilina, Slovakia.
The annual EVU Congress brings together professionals involved in accident research and reconstruction to share developments in accident analysis, investigative methods, and emerging technologies. This year’s program included sessions covering modern methods of traffic accident analysis, motorcycle accidents, accident reconstruction involving electric vehicles, artificial intelligence in accident reconstruction, and video analysis.
As members of MEA Forensic’s Collision Reconstruction group, Ian and Craig attended the technical presentations to review developments and approaches relevant to collision investigation and reconstruction. Their participation reflects MEA’s commitment to staying current with advancements in the field and continuing to exchange knowledge with accident research and reconstruction professionals internationally.
Ian noted that several presentations examining video analysis and the interpretation of visual evidence provided attendees of all nationalities the chance to discuss state of the art technology in accident reconstruction.
Craig and Ian’s participation in the EVU Annual Congress provides an opportunity to bring new perspectives and developments from the international accident reconstruction community back to MEA Forensic’s work. Continued engagement with professional organizations and technical conferences helps MEA’s engineers remain informed about evolving methods, technologies, and investigative practices in collision reconstruction and video analysis.
