Naveen Jasty is an Engineering Associate in the Los Angeles office’s Injury Biomechanics group. He investigates how injuries occur and whether they can be causally linked to a particular event. Naveen brings a unique blend of engineering and medical knowledge to his role, with a background in orthopedics, clinical research, and engineering.
Naveen holds two engineering degrees from Cornell University and a Doctor of Medicine degree from Case Western Reserve University. He has worked on numerous projects at several US hospitals and universities, including Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard University. Naveen has published studies on a range of topics including the material properties of medical implants, cartilage response to shear loading, and clinical outcomes of anterior cruciate ligament repair and clavicle fixation.
A background in medicine provides Naveen with a deep understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and pathology, which he integrates into his engineering analyses of injury. “I have an MD, but I’m an engineer at heart. And my interests lie at the intersection of these two fields.”
